Whoopie!! I just applied for a job! Very interesting one indeed! =)
Here's the advert I guess? Haha...

"Hello! Spreading this to you all on behalf of Japanese Studies Society (JSS) of NUS...

We are collaborating with JTB (Japan Tourism Board) to provide helpers to act as tour-guide for visiting high school students from Japan, coming to Singapore for their school excursion. Since they usually come in hundreds, the day part JTB hire us to handle then after that they take over for night activities lah
Usually we only open this strictly to NUS students, but due to manpower issues, we dun mind interested outsiders.

So usually it's half-day affair, usually between 8am - 2pm, on weekdays. You will be paid a token fee between $60-$80 depending. After that you will be dismissed and can go home. As a guide, you will be handling a group of students alone. Group size varies depending how many students the school have and how many helpers turn up. Usually group size about 6-12 person. You don't need to be very very good in Japanese language, we accept if you have basic japanese speech skills. Just take note that these students come from ulu-ulu schools who don't really take english lessons seriously, neh?

Your basic job is to accompany the students to bring them to heritage areas planned by their teachers; eg Chinatown, Little India, etc. So you need to bring them there, look around. History knowledge not necessary, but a plus if you know. You don't have to stick to the itinery all the time...you can discuss with your group and see what they wish to do too. Just make sure you don't let anyone go missing! Teach them also how to take public transport like buses and MRT. And also food! Students will spend with their own money, you don't need to pay for them, but as guides you have to help them ask for price and such....

It could be a fun experience for people learning Japanese now, as you interact with real japanese teens. If you find that language can be a problem, is confirm will have one, but you can always fall back on gesture or writing/drawing. Most important is be cheerful, have fun, make friends if possible!"

Cool huh?! I hope I get the job... Haha.

Man... The match was well worth the sleep lost, even though it ended 0-0. It was just so exciting! Such fluid attacking from both sides, tho Liverpool got that goal-scoring problem. Haha.

Well, off to mugging then! Later I got quite a tough paper to take. Pray that I can get away with an A! =)

Hello! I think I need to apologise to those who played the games and didn't thought it was amusing. I really thought it was funny and had a good laugh at myself for reacting the way I did. Maybe it's just me, I dunno. =x

Well then, lets see. Sorry Barny, sorry Evelyn, sorry Samantha Leo, sorry Mabel, sorry Melissa.

As for Jude, well... You did enjoy it right? And Sam Goh, uh... He's the one that provided me 2 of those links in the first place! Haha. Yew Leong and CK, you 2 are really sicko la. Keep asking to play again and again. In the end, you 2 just laughed when the zombie came out. Hahaha... Sickos! =D

Well... With that done. Lets move on to today's post! Tomolo is my exam paper! But tonite there's Champions League! Not any normal champions league match... No... Far more than that! It's Liverpool vs Chelsea! Oh man... That one is a must watch! Better sleep early and watch later then. Haha.

I'm waiting for this movie to come out Shinobi ((don't worry, no zombies. =) )) Here's the trailer. You gotta wait for a while tho, the trailer takes super long to load.

Why is this movie a must watch you ask? Well... Firstly, it's a Japanese Movie!! And it's a movie about Ninjas!! Nice special effects!! For the guys, the female lead is beautiful! For the girls, the male lead is handsome! And most importantly of all!!!!!!!!! The theme song is by Ayumi Hamasaki!!

Oh man... If this isn't a winning formula then what is?! It's coming out 17th of September in Japan, I wonder when it'll come to Singapore... So, who wanna go watch it with me when it available here in Singapore? =)

Interesting facts of the day

A typical Cathode Ray Tube based display device emits beta radiation that penetrates the skin, the thick lead coated glass shields off most of it.
You'll get more beta radiation from a can openner than your monitor and TV combined. LCD monitors excluded.

The Thermal Power Rating per squared millimeter on modern computer processors(P4 prescotts especially) are approaching that of nuclear powered reactors... and if we are still pushing silicon faster, the TPR per mm rating of future processors will achieve that of the rocket engine on the Saturn V rocket(rocket of choice for the Apollo missions).

When a piece of matter goes past the event horizon of a black hole and approaches singularity, it will be exposed to the sheer exponential difference of gravitational forces in relation to height.
So as the object(say a person going in head first) approaches the point of singularity, his head will experience a much higher gravitational pull than his feet and will start to stretch.
When almost at the point of singularity, his body will be stretched to the point that every proton, neutron and electron that belongs to his body will be aligned.

Traveling at the speed of light is physically impossible.
Taking the equation E=mc^2(where E is energy, m is mass and c is speed of light in vacuum) one would require massive amounts of mass to provide enough E to reach the squared root of c. But with more m comes the need for more E and the vicious cycle goes on.
Therefore, it is impossible to achieve c at this point of technological advancement.

Hey hey! This week has been quite ok for me I guess, weekdays mugging like crazy with my friends then weekends had loads of fun with church guys! Haha.

We had alpha on Friday and Saturday, the turnout was good I guess. Tho I didn't get to see the Serangoon cell's alpha, still had fun in the PDL session. Jude and me named our group the "Snapping Mabel" or "Snapping Eudora". Wahahaha. Damn fun, everyone will for no reason, start snapping their fingers! Then after cell, we kept playing some stupid games and telling lame jokes. So fun. =)

Saturday's young adult alpha was also very interesting, had 3 guests. The icebreakers and worship were ok, the video interesting, the discussion was very like 'whoa!' and the food was great. I hoped the guests all felt welcome and will still continue to come for subsequent sessions. =)

Today was also very cool la. Played drums, quite ok I guess, screwed up abit here and there. But I like "Romans 16:19" and "I exalt thee"! Nice songs. After service, jammed abit on the drums. Then Mabel wanted to learn drums, teach her abit. Then she like so happy, crazy girl. Haha.

After that Ramesh treated us all to Swensens! Haha. Damn nice, thanks Ramesh! Or should I say Romantic Ramesh? Wahahaha. Then we went to Hereen to look for a new pencil box for Eugenia. I went to find a CD I wanted to buy, and it cost a freaking SEVENTY THREE DOLLARS!!!!!! Man... Stupid CD, I'll be better off downloading the album la. -_-

So there it is. My week! Fun? You bet! Haha... =)
Well, tomolo start mugging again for exams which are starting this week. I'm quite confident I can get at least 2 As. So lets see how I do huh? =)

Haha... I just have to share about this wedding dinner I attended last Sunday, it's too interesting not to share! =D

Last Sunday I attended the most screwed up wedding ever! Why? Well, the guest were all most likely the greediest kiasuest bunch of Singaporeans you will ever come across! Don't believe? Well read on!

The bride and groom make their grand enterance into the ballroom and guess what some of the people were doing? Nope, not clapping and cheering for them. They were taking advantage of the situation, sneaking more food onto their plates! They can hide what they did from everyone else, but they can't escape my eagle eyes! Bwahahaha!!

Only the bride and groom's families were clapping during the cutting of the wedding cake. The clanging of spoons hitting plates overpowers the clapping of the embarassed families.

The "Yum Sheng" shout was so loud that I could hear waiteresses wishpering amongst themselves, probably gossiping about the wedding. Most of the guest seems uninterested in "Yum Sheng"ing, eyeing the food on their table. The MC had to resort to ra-raing the crowd to shout for the final "Yum Sheng" in which the guests responded quite well; I could barely hear what the waiteresses were saying, but still they were audible.

When the dessert was served, apparently everyone promptly gobbled it up and rushed home. Coz when I finished mine and turned around to see what was happening, about 6 tables were already empty.

There you have it! The most screwed up wedding I've ever been to! Well, I do play a part in it, coz I was simply not interested. I don't even know who the bride and groom are! My dad's friend's son's wedding... Haha... Can't blame me for not being interested can you? But at least I wasn't that rude. I still stood up and clap when I'm suppose to. Tho I didn't shout "Yum Sheng", coz if I did I would stand out amongst all the pretenders! Haha...

Well, I don't know how to end this post, so I'll end it now like this. Haha.. Ciao~!

I think I should update you guys on the friend that I was talking about a few posts before, the one that expressed interest in my FOP bookmark.

A few days before, out of the blue he asked me to send me the song I'm listening to thru msn. (MSN has a function that can let people the title of the song you'r listening to.) It so happens that the song I was listening to is 'look to you' by Hillsongs. I thought it was cool and that it was no coincidence(dunno how to spell) that this was happening. I sent him the song and forgot all about the incident.

The day before, we were having lunch together and he just suddenly sang out, "so I look to you... So I look to you..." I was just staring at him, awestruck. Man, this can be no one else's doing other than the Lord! Haha!

I asked him how he felt about the song and all that, and it turns out that he loved the song so much he has been listening to it everyday! And he sent it to his friends and some of my class mates! Haha, cool right?! Then my other class mate heard it and said, "Ni si liao la, ni ai shang christian song liao." (Loose translation: You die liao la, you fallen in love with christian song liao.)

This is so unreal man! I hope this friend of mine will become a part of the family of Christ! I asked him to join alpha, he declined tho... So sad, but there will be other chances! I may not reap the sow, but the seed has been planted! Haha... I dunno wad I'm talking about... =x

THANKS FOR PRAYING PEOPLE!! I CAN GO FOR THE SEPTEMBER MYANMAR MISSION TRIP!! =)

11:03 AM

I'm feeling soooooooooooo sad!! So down......... It's feels like the end of the world for me! I'm so dissapointed! So angry!! why?? WHY?!?!?!

WHY DID OWEN GO TO NEWCASTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =(

Sian diao, so many people thought he would definately go back to Liverpool. Haiz, well... No point crying over spilled milk, onwards Liverpool! You will never walk alone! Haha.

I'm going to help Cedric with some bible quiz thing this sat, but not as a drummer liao. I'm going there as a helper, it's gonna be fun! =)

And I saw Marcus in Canoe! What's he doing there? I thought he's in badminton one? Maybe BADminton is too bad for him? Haha... Sorry lame joke.
Hockey's kinda fun! I'm improving, I stopped fouling so many times liao. Haha.

I'm currently reading prayer of Jabez teens version, cool book! Just started only, so can't say much. =)

Oh ya... I decided to drop my appeal for the debarment case, been praying about it and just felt that I shouldn't appeal. 3 people of which 1 of them dunno I'm gonna be debarred from exams told me not to appeal too. So... I didn't appeal. =)

I'm feeling quite happy now, like a load has been lifted from my heart. Well, other people may say I've wasted 6 months of my life, but I think that is a myth of this world. Everyone is rushing to get things done, time=money, and stuff like that. Their lives revolves around their work or studies and nothing else, this is their identity in the world.

I don't wanna be like that, I just wanna trust God to lead me through the journey of life. And be happy everyday in the Lord! =)
